Established in 2020, LogiChain is an AI and artificial intelligence transformation (AX) specialist company that combines hyperspectral and multispectral optical imaging technology with AI to unearth new values in various industries.
CEO Ok explained that "multispectral and hyperspectral technology can capture information from various wavelengths, including ultraviolet and infrared, that are difficult to see with the naked eye, all at once." He added, "We analyze the captured images with a Vision Transformer-based AI to develop various services ranging from image inspection to disease diagnosis."
With over 20 years of experience in the global spectral analysis system field, CEO Ok has worked with European research institutions and companies on international collaborative technology development and attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) from US companies through related projects.
LogiChain's journey began with a rebranding to commercialize the combination of AI with their existing multispectral vision analysis system.
CEO Ok stated, "Through government startup support programs such as pre-startup and re-challenge success packages, we have refined our technology and business model, relocated our corporation to the Daejeon Research and Development Special Zone, and transferred government-funded research institution-related technologies with support from Daejeon City and related agencies." He also mentioned signing a core technology transfer agreement with the Defense Science Institute following winning a defense technology utilization startup competition.
LogiChain is expanding its business areas to include public, financial, medical, and beauty sectors. They are developing solutions for public agency immigration control, fintech, and tourism unmanned check-in systems, as well as medical diagnosis for melanoma and atopic dermatitis, and beauty services for skin type analysis and functional product recommendations.
CEO Ok emphasized, "Through support projects with Woori Financial Group and Shinhan Financial Group, we have established a collaborative network with financial institutions." He added, "We have conducted global demonstration projects mainly in Vietnam to secure local data and have completed overseas demonstrations, and based on this, we are pursuing global deep tech TIPS projects."
They are currently accelerating their entry into the global market.
CEO Ok mentioned, "We are preparing to establish subsidiaries in Japan and Hong Kong to enter the Asian and Chinese markets, and with support from the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, we are also preparing to enter the Fukuoka market in Japan." He also stated, "We are collaborating with KOTRA trade offices to cooperate with local government agencies such as Hong Kong and Shenzhen Science and Technology Zones for market entry."
