The Daejeon Research and Development Special Zone Headquarters announced on the 20th that they will be hosting the '2026 Daejeon Special Zone Aerospace Innovation Forum' with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute at the D-Unicorn Lounge in Daejeon Science Complex on the 27th.
The forum was organized to promote exchange between companies and research institutions in the aerospace industry, as well as to share information necessary for public technology commercialization and exemplary cases of aerospace special zone companies.
At the event, Aerospace Research Institute will introduce the technology transfer process and company cooperation programs, along with highlighting excellent aerospace and defense companies that have grown utilizing the technology commercialization support programs and systems of the Daejeon Special Zone.
Additionally, the Special Zone Headquarters will guide local innovation demonstration projects supporting company technology verification and commercialization, as well as introduce key support programs available for research institute companies and advanced technology companies within the special zone.
The forum attendees will have the opportunity to learn in detail about the startup process based on public technology, utilizing research institute company systems, scaling up from regional innovation demonstration planning to R&BD, through the commercialization process.
Following the forum, the Daejeon Special Zone Headquarters plans to actively support expanded exchange between aerospace industry companies and research institutions, aiming to foster cooperation in public technology transfer, joint research, and commercialization.
Daejeon Special Zone Head Lim Moon-Taek stated, "Continuous collaboration opportunities between research institutions with excellent technology and innovative companies are crucial for the growth of the aerospace industry," adding that they will further expand exchanges between companies and research institutions in the aerospace field in the Daejeon Special Zone to strengthen the cooperation base for public technology to lead to business growth and commercialization.
